In some situations the report is different. Are. All your Txns normal buy/sells or do you do anything else like MiscInc, MiscExp, Sell zero, buy zero, or have accumulation funds that have dividends, or have return or capital/equalisation payments?

I think I am virtually at a point where my MD reports are now correct…

I have been writing a cost basis report, but have stopped as it’s very complex and mind twisting…..

??

The stock goes back years and started out life in French Francs and must
have hundreds of transactions. Whatsmore, most of them come from my
transfer from Quicken
Any way, can just put in a dummy transaction back in history to force it to
be the same cost as in the portfolio report and the capital gains report,
which I am assuming from what you say is more likely to be correct? No good
if also effects the cost in my portfolio though.
At least I would have a detailed report to justify the cost to the taxman
if asked. Its not hugely different.
Do any of the reports match this?

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/489162702020-12-19T19:06:29Z2020-12-19T19:06:29ZCost Basis inconsistency

Hi, yes the cost column on the portfolio report it agrees with the capital
gains report.
It's the Cost Basis Report which is the odd man out.
The developer hasn’t updated that report but he did update the others with my suggested changes. It’s on my don’t forget to chase him about this list.

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)
