Recently my old Mac crashed and I bought a new one. I've added Moneydance to the new Mac and am trying to find the Moneydance data file on my backup hard drive so I can transfer it to me new Mac.

When I look at files on the backup drive, I find many Moneydance files and do not know what they are for. Can someone tell me which file contains my Moneydance data files so I can transfer them to my new Mac.

Once I have accomplished that, do I need to move any of the other Moneydance files to me new Mac>

Thanks for any help.

billandkarentag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/489593992021-01-08T16:16:48Z2021-01-08T16:16:49ZHow to find MD data file from backup hard drive

From your screen shot there is only one file you need, that’s the one at the very top with the MD Icon next to it dated Jan 4, 2021

Transfer that to your new Mac

Since Moneydance 2012 the software has used a folder/directory structure for the data with the folder having a .moneydance extension.

dwg
