Cash balance in investment account

Hi, I'm on the latest version (2021) and the cash account balance in my investment account (with a checking feature is NOT accurate). It was fine before I upgraded from 2017. It seems that the balance in the "Register" tab is the accurate cash balance, but the balance in the "Bank Register" tab is completely wrong.

Help!

   I'm a fellow user.

   I would expect the inline running balance to be wrong in the Bank Register but the balance right at the bottom of the screen to be correct.

   It has never been wrong in earlier versions
