.exe disappeared

Moneydance.exe disappeared while using the app. Then the downloaded installer disappeared as well. Is Moneydance trying to tell me my trial time is over?

   I'm a fellow user.

   Moneydance does not have a time limit on the trial.

   If Moneydance has been removed from your machine then something other than Moneydance has deleted it.

   As I said something other than Moneydance has removed it.

   There have been no reports that kits downloaded from The Infinite Kind's website have been infected with a virus. The forums would be full of reports it they had.

   I tried downloading the .exe in Edge browser, it said, "Couldn't download - No Permissions"

   I doubt this has anything to do with it but today is the first day using a new ISP; AT&T Fiber, 300mbps.

   Hi Joseph

   I can confirm dws findings.

   I normally use Google Chrome on Windows 10 to download Moneydance Moneydance_windows_amd64.exe but just checked Edge and it downloaded the 2021 preview build from https://infinitekind.com/preview without problems. Norton 360 reported no issues.
   Perhaps Avast is reporting a false positive.

   Thanks for your help. I had to save the download in a different location, ignore the Avast warning, and install to a new location. Seems fine.

   But, what the heck happened?
