Just wonder why the Column headers in Moneydance have the words "Rate" and "Foreign Amt" in the Payment and Deposit columns?

See screenshot.

Can they be removed?

Ignore them.. When you do multi currency, then new fields open on row 2 (under the columns you mention)..

Thanks yes...that is what I have been doing, but sometimes I send screenshots from Moneydance to other people, and this can cause unnecessary puzzlement and questions.

I have taken to marking up the screenshots to hide these, but felt it was worth asking if there was a way to remove them properly.

I don't have any foreign currency accounts.

I would have thought it wouldn't be difficult for MD to add those words to the header when it detects multi currency use, not leave them in by default.

It's certainly a good question, and annoying..... so +1 me too from me.....

You could switch to one line register mode, at least before you take the screenshots. This will also hide the memo column, but perhaps that's also not necessary for whatever you are sending the screenshots for.

I'm not sure how we would hide this beyond switching to one line mode. I'm sure we would just make those labels disappear, but then you'd be left with unlabeled sections of the register. Maybe we could also move the Memo section to the first line so the second line could always be hidden except for multicurrency use. Although I know for people on smaller laptops, there's already almost too much information per line, causing the need for horizontal scrolling.

Thanks but I always use one line register and they still appear.
