You can view on screen or download to excel (and search there)... I could consider a search if requested.... You must be on MD2021.1 preview build to run it. Extract_data (option reminders)....

Also I don't wish to risk using a Preview build of MoneyDance.
Cheers!

Adrian Stag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/491312722021-04-08T13:41:51Z2021-04-08T13:44:51ZSearching Reminders

just a user,

Let me offer some suggestions. I have a bit over 80 reminders (general and transaction) and I often need to update them so I understand your dilemma.

1st of all they are listed in alphabetical order so keep that in mind when you are creating your reminders to make it easier to locate them later on. You could even add a prefix to your reminders to help differentiate between the Transaction or General type. I.E. T-Pebble Beach member Fee, G-Bentley tag

Secondly you can search the reminder names by pasting the listing into a text file and searching. Just click once on one of your reminders and press Control A then Control C to select and copy the entire listing. Then open a text document and paste (Control V) the listing into the document. Now you can use all the search functions of your text document editor or print the list out as needed.

Lastly if you really want to get serious about your "Transaction" type reminders, just add a unique "Tag" to each transaction in your reminders, then you can use all the MD search and report features to find all the transactions created by your reminders and directly open them up to view the name of the "Description" (name of the reminder), and open the "Split" of a recent transaction to look at the details without finding and opening the Reminder itself.

Also what I would like to see added to the "Reminder" feature is the ability to append or edit the Reminder Memo of the General reminders when you open them up from the Summary or Calendar view. Then you can add notes that will appear the next time the reminder is opened.

mhoggietag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/491312722021-04-08T14:22:49Z2021-04-08T14:22:49ZSearching Reminders

Thanks @mhoggie.

press Control A

Unfortunately that (actually Command A on Mac) doesn't work. I tried it, and one can only select one line not many.

Adrian Stag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/491312722021-04-08T14:43:08Z2021-04-08T14:43:08ZSearching Reminders

just a user,

How about clicking the 1st one, then hold shift to click the last one to select all in between. Not sure if that works the same on a MAC

mhoggietag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/491312722021-04-08T14:54:01Z2021-04-08T14:54:01ZSearching Reminders

Nope - not on a Mac (on the Reminders screen)...

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/491312722021-04-08T16:05:45Z2021-04-08T16:05:47ZSearching Reminders

It does work on the Mac & PC if you do it from Dropdown Menu Tools -> Reminders

jeff_ltag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/491312722021-04-08T16:31:24Z2021-04-08T16:31:24ZSearching Reminders

Thanks @jeff_l ! It works on my Mac.

@Infinite Kind, can you please fix the following inconsistency:

Users can
Select All
reminders on one of your screens, but not on another identical looking one! It's quite surprising.

Can Select All:
MoneyDance -> Tools -> Reminders -> click on any Reminder -> Select All
.

Can't Select All:
MoneyDance -> View -> Summary Page -> Reminders -> click on any Reminder -> Select All
.

My original request still stands too please:

I too definitely need the Searching Reminders facility enabled please, as per ticket #5244. Thanks.
