MD hanging while importing QIF files
I am running the latest version of Money Dance and found that it has just started hanging after importing QIF files from Santander Bank. The import is complete, it is just that I need to kill MD using task manager and then reboot to continue working.
Any suggestions any one else experiencing this? Is this specific to a recent change in the Santander generated file?

Richard,
When you say "the latest" version it is unclear since versions are updated continually and while it may have been the latest you know of when you started this message, it might not be the latest when you finished or when others look at the message.
If your version is lower than build 2022.2(4060), I would update to the latest preview (currently 2022.3(4062)). That build fixed a problem with the qif import settings window not appearing.

Once you kill MD, there is an errlog.txt file that has a lot of information on what the problem might be. Posting this will help a lot (or even looking at it for error messages) This file is at:
C:\Users(yourusername).moneydance\errlog.txt

When I clicked on the link on the home page of the app it told me that I was up todate. The help menu indicates that I am running 2021 (2006) so clearly the first step is to look for the latest update on the IK website.
I may be back….
Thx
Richard

Hi Richard,
Can you try upgrading to the latest preview version, as this should hopefully fix the problem for you?
Moneydance 2022.3 (4062) is now available to download from this page.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.
