Transaction Filter Report - Version 4062

This has been the subject of a number of posts, but there is still a problem with the Transaction Filter Report in the latest preview build (4062). Please see attached pdf for a full description along with screenshots.

Back to 4058 until this is finally fixed!

    Hi Steve,

    Sorry about the continuing trouble there. I think in this case we need to specifically add a separate category filter. With a category in the "account" field, the report is showing the transactions from the perspective of the category side of each transaction. I think that's how this report probably should have behaved all along, but if we add a category filter then I think it can do the filtering as you'd expect and is shown in earlier versions.

    I'll also get the check number to appear there correctly.

    I've created a ticket to ensure that this get corrected in the near future.

    Just tested 4063 and from the previous issues some are still not fixed:
    1. The account column now contains the category - still not fixed
    2. The category now contains the Account - still not fixed
    3. The Check column does not show the value – just a square - fixed
    4. The Amounts are reversed - fixed
    5. The lines on the report are also in a different order - still not fixed

    I can get this result but only if I select a category in the account selection on the parameters screen and in such a case I would expect the account/category to be reversed due to the different perspective you are looking at the transactions from.

    I would agree that this only happens if you select a category in the account selection. I could possibly live with the columns being swapped round but I think it is misleading to have a column header of Account containing Categories and a column called Category containing Accounts. The way it was prior to 4060 I think is better.

    @Sean - Is your suggestion of a category filter to fix the reversed columns likely to be soon or are we going to have to live with the Account and Category columns reversed for some time? I ask because I have processes in place which take the report output saved as csv to do further analysis on a number of memorised transaction filter reports and don't want to have to change these if the fix is going to be soon.

    I cannot see any results in check # when I do any reports, just a blank column. Is that the same issue being reported here?
