I just did a clean install of Mac OS Monterey version 12.0.1, downloaded Moneydance 2022 (4060) and installed Moneydance. I can't open files with Moneydance. When I click on File > Open and go to the folder where my Moneydance files are stored all of the .moneydance files are greyed out and I can't click on them. Permissions on the .moneydance files show that I have read/write permission, the default group, I haven't made any custom groups, has read/write permission and everyone has read/write permission. While trying to troubleshoot this I installed Moneydance preview version 4062 and that doesn't help.

Just find in finder and double click one.

Just to make sure, these files end with just .moneydance, not some variation, like .moneydancearchive, or .moneydance with a date, etc? And you're using the "open other" option from the menu bar or welcome screen?

Double clicking on one of the files should also work. If not, try dragging one of the files onto an open Moneydance program window.

I can double click on the file and they will open. If I close Moneydance
and then double click on a different .moneydance file I get a prompt to
enter the password for the previous file, if I then click cancel on the
password prompt a prompt for the password of the current file will pop
up. I don't normally double click files to open them so I don't know if
the password prompt for the previous file is normal.  Also if I close
Moneydance and later reopen Moneydance it will open the last file that
    was opened.
