I just upgraded to moneydance 2022. I have it installed on my desktop and synced to Dropbox. This works fine, as well as my android phone. However I installed it on my Dell laptop, same version and License number. Set up sync to dropbox, it says it is syncing but it isn't. Changes on desktop do not appear on the Laptop. I notice in Dropbox, two files are created one for the desktop and one for the laptop is this how it is supposed to work? Need help syncing laptop. Thanks,
Stuart Beesley ...

Nope. On the new/secondary laptop. Do file/new/open sync’d copy. Select the first/original sync dataset.

Thanks Stuart, that worked perfectly. Didn't know you could do it that way. Problem solved. Thanks, Gary

By way of explanation it sounds like you used the same approach on you laptop as on the desktop. This sets up a completely new syncing set up, whereas using the open sync'd copy command adds the new machine to an exiting syncing set up.
