Very Minor Issue-Mac Version of Moneydance Does Not Allow Macro for Password
I have been used to using a macro to enter my password for Moneydance 2021.1on my Windows 10 desktop. I am now also using Moneydance 2021.1 on a MacBook M1 with MacOS Monterey and everything works well except the Mac version does not expand the macro for the password. I tried ticking Case Sensitive Auto-Completion in the General Preferences but that had no effect on the issue.

How are you using a Macro?
As of:
MD2021.2(3088): Adds the capability to set the encryption passphrase into an environment variable to bypass the popup question
Either: md_passphrase= or md_passphrase_[filename in lowercase format]=
This has to be set in the underlying shell before launch. You can also launch like this.
/Applications/Moneydance.app/Contents/MacOS/Moneydance -d

I am using the keyboard text replacement feature in the System Preferences of MacOS 12.0.1 (Monterey) It works well in other applications. In Windows 10 I use Perfect Keyboard for macros, which does work in Moneydance.
I haven't yet upgraded from MD 2021.1

I downloaded a text macro program which resolved my issue and I will close the discussion.
