improper change to stock cost.
I received a dividend of $97.29 with a withheld tax of $25.68. The income and expense accounts were recorded correctly but the $25.68 was added to the cost of the security. The cost of the stock changed from $3165.20 to 3190.88.

I'm a fellow user.
I tried this on Build 4063, Looked at the cost basis on the Securities Details screen first, entered a transaction then went back to the Securities Details screen and the cost basis had not changed.

I'm using 4060 which is the latest version on IK web page. Where did you get 4063?

the error persists with the preview version. This problem only occurs when using lot matching, not average cost. It is also not specific to this security. I also tried a new security with one purchase and one dividend, i.e. only one lot - same problem. I then created a new database with one security. - same problem. At this point, it seems that lot matching is the problem.
