MoneyDance open can't find "last file"
I moved my moneydance file to the "Documents" folder on my Mac hard drive.
When I launch the MoneyDance App, it cannot find the file.
I have to use Mac Finder to navigate to my current MoneyDance file and double click it to open it.
How can I get MD to look in the right folder?
Thanks,
Bruce Alexander

Hi Bruce,
When you try to open Moneydance; what happens?
Are you greeted with the Welcome Screen?
Does a new data set open?
Does some other data set open?
If it is the Welcome Screen, use the 'Open Other' option to navigate to the data set in your "Documents" folder.
If it is either of the others, use the 'Open > Open Other' option from within the Moneydance menu bar. Again, navigate to your "Documents" folder.
Going forward Moneydance should remember the last data set accessed.

Kevin,
Here’s what happens when I click on the MoneyDance icon in my Dock bar
When I click on the “Open Other” link, it does launch the correct MoneyDance file.
I closed the MD App and relaunched it. I get the same results= just the welcome screen. I have to “Open Other”.
I can certainly live with that. But, it would be nice to have the additional screen to deal with
Thanks for your help,
Bruce

When you select open other it should launch finder, this is in order to allow you to navigate to where you have moved the Moneydance data set to and select it. Once it has been opened Moneydance will remember where it was.

Kevin,
I’ll be traveling this weekend and won’t be able to work on this issue until early next week.
Again… thanks for your help so far.
Bruce
