To change what font Moneydance is set to use. Take the menu path File --> Preferences.

In recent versions of Moneydance the font selection is on the Appearances tab.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/495529162021-12-17T19:48:58Z2021-12-17T19:49:04Zsystem font changed

Thank you for your reply.

I am using version 2020.2, and in the menu that you have mentioned,

I can only change the size of all fonts, and not the type of the font.

Goraz.d

gorazd.slaktag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/495529162021-12-17T23:54:38Z2021-12-17T23:54:38Zsystem font changed

I had to find my old notes. on when the feature was introduced, it was in the lifetime of Moneydance 2021.

Hence Moneydance 2020 did not have the ability for the user to select fonts. From memory, Moneydance would set the font/font parameters, these were passed to the system so the system would map it to an available font.

So there is nothing you can do in Moneydance 2020 to change what font is chosen.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/495529162021-12-18T18:39:18Z2021-12-18T18:39:18Zsystem font changed

Thank you so much for taking so much time with me.

However – if this is the case, I want my money back. The numbers are unreadable, therefore the program is unusable. I will contact InfiniteKind.

All the best,

Gorazd.

gorazd.slaktag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/495529162021-12-18T20:52:27Z2021-12-18T20:52:27Zsystem font changed

If you purchased Moneydance 2020 you have been using it for sometime and if it has been working fine up until now then it is more likely something you have changed that has affected the software, I would think that using the software for that long would make the prospect of a refund unreasonable.

If it was Moneydance 2020 that you purchased you would be entitled to a free upgrade to Moneydance 2021 which does include the capability to select what fonts you use in Moneydance. It is available from:

https://infinitekind.com/download_2021

Note that if you have upgraded to macOS Monterey then we do see bad fonts with older versions of Moneydance because Apple have removed some fonts, adding fonts in may resolve this particular problem but Monterey requires the latest release of Moneydance.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/495529162021-12-19T21:46:22Z2021-12-19T21:46:24Zsystem font changed

Thank you for your reply.

I am using Win10.

Indeed I have installed new fonts, but I have installed new fonts in the past and they didn’t change the system font in the program. You are right, I have been using Moneydance for many years and I am incredibly surprised by this change, by this event.

I have purchased Moneydance 2017.

All I want, all I am asking you is to tell me how to change this font.

Or at least tell me which font is being used by Moneydance as a system font, so that I try reinstalling it and it might roll back.

I hope you can agree, from the screenshot I have sent, that the program is unusable…

Gorazd

gorazd.slaktag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/495529162021-12-20T06:30:27Z2021-12-20T06:30:27Zsystem font changed

You are asking for support on a product that’s 5 years old and that went ‘wrong’ after a change you made. I would recommend you upgrade to the latest version and then you can address your problem.

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/495529162021-12-22T21:42:34Z2021-12-22T21:42:35Zsystem font changed

This is so CYNICAL!!!

I am using the produce from 2020!!!!!

This is not 5 years ago, based on my calculations!!!!

This is outragous answer, is this Infinitekind support our third party answer?

I will not pay uneccessary upgrade fee for… ah, do I really have to argue about this???!?!?!?

Gorazd.

gorazd.slaktag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/495529162021-12-22T22:08:43Z2021-12-22T22:08:43Zsystem font changed

Reverse the font changes you made then. Moneydance 2020 can not set a specific font to be used, it is set by the Operating system based on the font specification passed to it, not necessarily a named font, so I do not think any of us at this level can say install such and such a font and it will be OK.

We can say that the later versions have the ability to set a user specific font and thus override the system.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/495529162021-12-23T05:42:32Z2021-12-23T05:42:32Zsystem font changed

No I am not support, just another user. I must admit to being confused now. At one point you said you purchased 2017 and then you said you are using 2020.2. My 5 years came from '2017' when you purchased the product...? I this is the case then you have had five 5 years functionality out of the system and I fail to see how a refund would be issued... Regardless, the feature you requested was not there until a later version....

Anyway, bowing out of this one....

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/495529162021-12-23T07:40:00Z2021-12-23T07:40:00Zsystem font changed

If you Want to attempt to fix this yourself, then try toolbox script. Download toolbox.zip from here:

https://yogi1967.github.io/MoneydancePythonScripts/

Unzip. Get the toolbox.py file

In MD, window, Moneybot console
Open script. Select toolbox. Run (not run snippet).

In the main diagnostic window it will tell you about your fonts.

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)
