Can't load backup on new Mac
What's wrong? This is the error message I'm getting: "Error reading file: java.lang.NullPointerException" when trying to import a Moneydance backup. Do you not work on the latest Mac?

I'm a fellow user.
Are you using the menu command: File --> Restore from Backup ... when trying to restore the backup?

When opened MD on my new Mac, I was presented with 4 options. One option was Restore (which includes restore from backup). I clicked that option and chose my backup. Didn’t work. Got that error message.
The fix: I had to start a new Set of Accounts. Then was able to import my backup from there.

We have seen a couple of problems on the Welcome page, but I thought they had all been corrected you may have found a new one.

Hello,
I'm glad to hear it sounds like things have been sorted out. If not, please also let us know the exact version of Moneydance you are running and your operating system. I agree with the above post that we haven't received reports of this in the most recent revisions.
