Summary Page Doesn't Fit on Screen with Sidebar On Mac version

I am using Moneydance 2021.1(3069) on both a Windows 10 computer and a MacBook Air M1. When I transfer the moneydance datafile from the Windows computer to the MacBook via my network, the Summary page does not fit on the screen unless I remove the sidebar. There is no horizontal slider in the window allowing the stock prices on the right side of the page to come into view. I can only see the prices if the sidebar is gone. Otherwise the Mac version seems identical to the Windows version and all the data are the same.

Help in resolving this will be appreciated.

    Hi Robert
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

In the System Preferences. Please navigate to the General section and to Prefer tabs [always] when opening documents. Can you change "always" to never or "in full screen"?

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

    Hi Maddy -

The Preferences were already set to "Full Screen". I tried "Never" and there was no change. The 13" MacBook Air screen seems too small to allow the entire Summary page with Sidebar to be seen, even in full screen mode.
I think the real problem is the absence of a horizontal slider in the third column of the page, which contains the stock prices. I still have access to the stock prices, of course, but I have to hide the sidebar, which is not ideal.

    I'm a fellow user.

I do not have a small screen however when I change the size of the Moneydance Window on the latest preview release to simulate it I do get a slider underneath the summary pages two columns.

I have tried this on Linux.

A technique I have used with smaller screens is to only have the side bar and one column. This can be set up under File--> Preferences on the summary page tab.

I did find a workable if imperfect solution by removing Reminders, Expenses Graph and Budget Bars from the right column. After doing this the Stock Prices became fully readable and not truncated as before. Reminders are still available from a menu and I don't care about the Budget Bar and Expenses Graph.
I do think there is something sketchy about the programming of the Summary page because once in a great while when I was moving things about and fiddling with the size of the window a horizontal slider did appear for a few seconds but would not persist.
Thanks to dwg for his/her suggestion, which started me on the path to my improved Summary Page.

The slider will only appear once the Moneydance window gets below a certain size, up until that time the columns are gradually reduced in Width, well at least on Linux and Windows. In other words the slider only appears once the columns have been scaled to their minimum width.
