I'm not a Mac user but something like this does seem to happen on occasions.
Have a close look at the screen, is there a small box somewhere on it, perhaps with the Apple traffic lights? If so drag the edge to make it larger or select maximize.

No small box. The top tool bar comes up when I try to open Moneydance but none of the links are responsive

Can you try resetting your Moneydance preferences and see if that fixes the issue that you're seeing? To do this, you have to rename your config.dict file. If you're using Mac OS X, it should be located at one of these locations within your Home folder:
~/Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/config.dict
or:
~/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/config.dict
If you have any trouble finding your Home Library folder, open Finder, select Go -> Go to Folder -> from the menu bar, and copy and paste in:
~/Library
This should pull up your local Library folder.
If you're using Windows, it should be located at:
C:/Users/(yourusername)/.moneydance/config.dict
If you're using Linux, it should be located at:
/home/(yourusername)/.moneydance/config.dict
Once you've found your config.dict file, close Moneydance and rename it (to something like config2.dict, for example), then open Moneydance again and it will appear as though you've just installed Moneydance for the first time, so you'll have to re-enter your license key and may have to locate and open your data set again. If you run into any problems, you can simply close Moneydance and rename the original config.dict file back to config.dict and open Moneydance again to restore your original settings.
If that doesn't work, can you send me your errlog.txt file? If you're using Mac OS X, it should be located at one of these locations within your Home folder:
~/Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt
or:
~/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt
If you have any trouble finding your Home Library folder, open Finder, select Go -> Go to Folder -> from the menu bar, and copy and paste in:
~/Library
This should pull up your local Library folder.
If you're using Windows, it should be located at:
C:/Users/(yourusername)/.moneydance/errlog.txt
If you're using Linux, it should be located at:
/home/(yourusername)/.moneydance/errlog.txt

When I go to Finder, Folder, etc. there are no entries for Moneydance. I’ve tried clicking on application support, etc. I don’t get an error message if I search on either of the inks you gave me. The computer just doesn’t do anything. I looked through my Home Library several times. No MOneydance. Yet if I click to icon or in applications, the tool bar for Moneydance comes up but I can’t open the summary page.
So now what?

Hi Karen,
Ok, it sounds like you are using a Mac based on your response. Did you try the Go To Folder instructions I suggested? This will ensure you are in the correct library folder. Again:
If you're using Mac OS X, it should be located at one of these locations within your Home folder:
~/Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/config.dict
or:
~/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/config.dict
If you have any trouble finding your Home Library folder, open Finder, select Go -> Go to Folder -> from the menu bar, and copy and paste in:
~/Library
This should pull up your local Library folder.
The files are there, as you wouldn't be getting as far as you are in opening the program if Moneydance couldn't write anything to those locations at all.
If that still doesn't help, can you attach a screenshot of what you are seeing when you launch Moneydance? We may be able to see something that you are missing, or otherwise better understand your situation. If you're not sure how to take a screenshot, please see http://www.take-a-screenshot.org/

I believe i made it clear in my last message that I tried ALL the Library/Container links and none worked to produce the summary page of my accounts. I’ve therefore removed Moneydance links on my computer and will no longer using Moneydance.

Hi Karen,
We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.
I've noticed that my colleague Ethan asked you to send a screenshot of what you are seeing (in post 5 of this thread). I believe this could help us understanding what is happening.
If you want to try again, we are happy to troubleshoot but we required further information such as:
Which version and build of Moneydance are you using?
Where did you purchase Moneydance? - unfortunately I was unable to locate your purchase history using: [email blocked]
Did you purchase it directly from our website or was it through the Mac App Store for instance?
Can you let us know which operating system you're running on your computer?
If you have upgraded your operating system recently, perhaps you need upgrading Moneydance as well.
Or is it possible you have a second monitor connected, perhaps?
