Hi John,
If I understand you correctly, you've moved Moneydance from an older machine to your new Mac. Correct?
I'm not a Mac user but can you confirm that you followed the instructions laid out in the following Moneydance KB article?

I followed the procedure but the problem is that I cannot find the file or backups.
I have just found a sync file to my iPhone and IU wonder if that can be used?

Hi John,
I would look on your old machine for your data file in the location(s) listed in the following Moneydance KB article. https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/file-locations-and-changes/de...
It is my understanding that the sync file on your iPhone is not a complete rendering of your data and would not be of use to rebuild your data file.

Hello,
Kevin's above comment is generally correct for older versions. Which version of Moneydance were you using on your old computer?
If you can't find your main data file in the described default location, you must have moved it at some point. Try searching your computer for all files and folders that end with the .moneydance file extension.
