Match online accounts not working??

I have an investments at Principal Funds. There are 2 Accounts with multiple mutual funds in each. Direct connect is working fine except Principal uses "fund,acctno" for each mutual fund during the Online Banking setup. Therefore the only way to get all of my transactions using direct connect is to setup multiple investment accounts for each combo of fund/acct.
Is the "Match Online Accounts" option suppose to address my feature request? I just tried MD version 2022.3(4077) and with my Principal Funds account. After selecting the three sub accts and pointing them to the same main account, MD still only downloads from the first sub acct that was setup. It would be really nice if this would work with investment accounts. (btw, Principal uses Direct Connect)
Please advise.
