<p>Upgrading to the latest preview version should hopefully fix the problem for you.<br>
<strong>Moneydance 2022.4 (4078)</strong> is now available to download from <a href="https://infinitekind.com/preview">this page</a>. You should remove or choose to overwrite the older version to prevent confusion.</p>
<p>Finally, navigate to <em>Online menu->Moneydance+ Set up</em> and where it reads "Connected" on the right, click and select <em>disconnect</em> in the popup. Then try to recreate the connection as outlined in <a href="https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/moneydance/connect-accounts-with-moneydance">this article</a> of the Knowledge Base called Connect Accounts with Moneydance+.</p>

the new version once again so that I can get to the point where it would ask<br>
from what point I want to download the bank transactions and I would use the<br>
current month instead from the very beginning ?</p>

<p>In other words I want to start with only the banks  current months transactions<br>
being loaded into the moneydance spreadsheet that I look at and work from there<br>
going forward as I will need to create new categories and change only those of<br>
the current month and by the way if I click on a transaction to change the<br>
category I do not have an option to do so and anyway being that I downloaded<br>
from the very beginning there are just too many transactions to change<br>
categories if I could  </p>

To begin the confirmation process, you should select the first transaction in the register with a 'blue dot'. A panel will appear on the right of your screen which shows the 'Current Transaction' details. You should amend the category within this panel, then select 'Confirm'.</p>
<p>You'll see the solid blue dot change to a blue circle. Moneydance will then move to the next unconfirmed transaction in the register.</p>
<p>As you go through this process it will become quicker and easier. Moneydance will begin to recognize the information you have previously confirmed, and start to suggest the correct categories within 'Similar Payees' in the panel on the right.</p>
<p>The next time you download from the bank many of the correct categories will automatically be assigned, and this will improve as you confirm more transactions.</p>

<p>Secondly, if you would prefer creating a new data file, you should navigate to File->New->Create New File. Please note: by doing so you would have to recreate your accounts anew.</p>
<p>On the other hand, if you would prefer deleting all the transactions you have downloaded so far, you can highlight the relevant transactions in the register, click on the first transaction, hold down <em>SHIFT</em>, then click on the last transaction, this will select multiple transactions, at once.<br>
Once the desired transactions are highlighted, right-click on any of them and from the resulting <em>context menu</em>, select <em>Delete</em>.</p>
<p>Then, select the Online->Setup Moneydance+ menu again, then click on an account (not the bank name) in the right column you should see a popup menu. If you select the Reset Sync Date entry, Moneydance will prompt you upon the next download to select how far back in time you'd like it to request transactions. How far back the transactions actually go is dependent upon the bank and/or their service provider, but Moneydance will request whatever date you specify.</p>
<p>Finally, in order to rename an account, you should select it from the left Side Bar first, then navigate to <strong>Account->Edit Account</strong> from the header.</p>

assume moneydance will require some sort of of input to go get the latest from<br>
my bank and I assume in order to get that done I will have to use options<br>

Accounts  and Download in the list as todays date isn’t  there as a choice</p>

<p>All my accounts match balance wise with the banks balances because when setting<br>
up the moneydance accounts I indicated the starting balances so tomorrow I<br>
naturally expect moneysense and the banks balance to reflect the same numbers <br>
including any new transactions  </p>

<p>One other thing I often transfer money from a savings account to pay the visa<br>
account , both the savings and visa accounts are    in moneydance both balances<br>
(moneydance and banks)  show the same correct numbers  so how do I handle the transfer that pays the visa bill without screwing up both the moneydance<br>
balances with respect to those at the banks ?</p>
<p>When I look at the bank for such an transaction is I see the debit  or payment<br>
leave the saving account and see the visa account being credited   in the same<br>
amount ... that is what I want to see in the world of moneydance simple and<br>
straight forward</p>

<p>All I want is that moneydance  and the banks balances match so that I can use<br>
moneydance   to budget with  if that doesn’t happen then i wont use moneydance</p>

<p>The reason why I left Quicken was that the bank  balances that showed up on the<br>
quicken display showed correctly however from a quicken prospective everywhere<br>
   else the quicken display showed in US cash and quicken advised me they had an ongoing issue with that and it has been months so I left quicken to go to you<br>
guys at moneydance</p>
<p>If I encounter bank and moneydance balance not insync I will drop moneydance<br>
and try the next one that being MINT Â Â </p>

After doing that and selecting the Moneydance account from the menu, using the ⌘D keyboard shortcut or clicking the Download button when the account is selected will cause Moneydance to download the transactions for that account.</p>
