Hi there, my moneydance was running fine. Using it many years from now and the sync is via Dropbox folder. However I'm using Macs but not once at the time. Now I did create a new account and put in some transactions. Once done the next day on the other mac the account just appears with another "restored account " ? I did delete the restored account but somehow it keeps reappearing on both macs. I did delete via the Tools->Accounts selection.

I'm using version 2023.01 (build 5006) on both macs.

What can I do to get rid of this "junk" ? Any tool or cleaning procedure available ?

many thanks Tom

I think the best think is to refresh sync.

On the master. Toolbox extension. Update mode. Advanced menu. Force refresh / push sync. Wait. Restart MD. Restart the other Md.

    Now does the problem reoccur?

    Hi Stuart,

Could you give a hand on this ? I can’t find the described function to refresh stage sync … which menu I need to use ?

    Thx Tom

just a user, as Stuart said:

Update mode. Advanced menu. Force refresh / push sync. Wait. Restart MD. Restart the other Md.

So, you click the update mode (in red). Then click on MENU:Advanced Options.

    Under that is:
Force a refresh/PUSH of your local dataset to sync (only when master sync) ---- i.e. you are on the master dataset.

I don't know how to make it any more clear. Does that help?

Wait for 5-10 minutes if your network isn't very fast before restart.

The update mode checkbox is to insure that the person using toolbox is aware they are changing their dataset. You made a backup, right?

Yes I did so … don’t want to loose years of data :-) I also activated the backup function when MD is closing. Thx again for your help ...
