Update not working properly
I updated to the latest version yesterday and now Moneydance won't come up on my screen when I start it. It DOES seem to start, since I can find and "end task" it in Task Manager. But now I have no access to my data, and can't even tell it's running at all without checking Task Manager. I've tried re-installing the update about four times now and have restarted the computer twice.
I'm running Windows 10.

Download the latest preview version which fixes exactly what you have encountered.

I had the exact same problem on Linux (GUI would never show up but it would prompt for password and prompt me for expired MD+ accounts to be linked). Updating to the preview release resolved the problem but that's an ugly bug in the official release.

Which is why there was an almost immediate new preview release.
The testers didn't anticipate people using very old extensions and never upgrading them. Testers upgraded them and thus it was missed.
Nor did the testers delete every currency (including the base currency).
Yes, two ugly bugs. Fixed within two days.

Hi, when i try to install the preview version using the install script on linux, it still installs the 5059 build. Could you please assist?

Hi Andy,
We've just released a new version that should correct the problem for you.
Moneydance 2023.3 (5063) is now available to download from this page.
For a full list of improvements in the preview version, please refer to this page.
We recommend overwriting or manually removing the older version.

Hi Maddy,
That is my point, I am trying to upgrade using the linux script. But it installs Moneydance 2023.2 (5059) - so my guess is that it needs to be updated to install the 5063.

The build process builds a new set of installation kits from the ground up, you did download it from the preview page rather than the stable page? There certainly looks to be a new version of the script in the download directory on the server.
