Something that you might try in that type of scenario is to open one of the other account register(s) in a new window.

To do so, from the left side bar, right-click on the account in question and choose 'Open in a New Window'.

You can then use key-combo ALT-TAB to toggle between the two windows.
Key-combo CTRL-W closes the new window(s) without closing the main Moneydance window.

If I am working within a register - and close Moneydance at the end of the day - when I return I have to manually scroll/search to find the place where I stopped work.

In Quicken I could drop a colored "flag" at a particular point and then - later when I returned - search for "the red flag", (or whatever color I used), to find my place.

Likewise, if there were transactions that needed more extensive review, I could drop a different color flag there, (blue for example), and then find all the transactions with "blue" flags. I could also set a view criteria so it would only show the transactions with a particular colored flag, considerably simplifying and speeding my work.

Being able to drop some kind of marker so that Moneydance will return there when re-started would be a tremendous time saver. Even if it weren't automagic, being able to jump to a specific place-marker would be excellent!

Thanks!

jimrhtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481763262020-03-27T13:24:11Z2020-03-27T13:24:11Z"Bookmark" scroll location in account

Hi jimrh,

Something that you could do in this instance is to assign a 'Blue Flag' Tag to the transaction(s) in question and simply enter 'blue' into the 'Search' field.

Simply create a Tag for the transaction(s) in question.
https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/register-and-transactions/tags
Name the Tag 'Blue Flag' (or whatever you want.)

Entering 'Blue Flag' (or whatever you named the Tag) into the 'Search' field (in the upper right-hand corner of the register) will bring up the tagged transaction(s).
