Check For Updates.
For sometime now I’ve wondered why "Checking for Updates" in Moneydance requires the installation of an extension. Which itself needs to be updated.
Most/All other programs usually have this feature built into the software. Often under the Help or About menu.
Information on whether the update is free or discounted could still be displayed as now or the feature switched off entirely by the user.
Try as hard as I can, I can’t find another application that does it the MD way!

I’m guessing, but i guess the AppStore version doesn’t like self updating code, hence its separate. I also suspect this means the updater can update itself separately to the main code. IMHO
