Transaction Report please add Category to the options to subtotal by

I use the transaction customizable report a lot for tax purposes to select certain tags. The current report subtotals really goofy because it sorts by date and then subtotals every time the category changes. I can grab the information and total it by hand but it would be nice if the report would do it. I have used the Income and Expenses and it sorts and groups correctly. Unfortunately, when I save to clipboard it doesn't paste correctly into excel. Thanks for your consideration.

   You are not actually posting anything but just reposting what is already present. I would suggest not using email as it adds a lot of crud and instead post via the web interface.

   Use the option to save, and you will see a popup that says csv encoded for excel. Use that. Save to csv. Open the csv in excel.
