I am sorry that this is a bit morbid - but it is a really important issue that we all will face at some stage or our loved ones will.

My best pal has just lost his wife to cancer - she did all their personal admin and he is struggling to assemble the information about her personal money affairs.

When Quicken had a UK based product there was a feature (set of) that enabled you to itemise contact details of family and advisers as well as the contact details of banks and the other holdings that I now have in Moneydance. You could print a physical document that could be stored with your will or somewhere that your survivors could find and use.

Having been executor of both my parents estates this would have been incredibly useful. I am keen to make things easy as possible when I go. So I am doing it manually in a spreadsheet. However some features and functionality in Moneydance that would enable you to leave a detailed report about your affairs - financial estate and family etc - maybe even a statement of wishes regarding assets whip;d be a fantastic addition to Moneydance

Try toolbox. Accounts. Legacy / Will report.

I’ve also proposed the same for IK to include in core product.

Let me know how it works for you? Of if things are missing?
