How do I make a memorized graph that will show the total value of my portfolio up to date?

In MD 2010 I memorized a Net Worth graph that showed the total value of my investment accounts (only investments - by selection in the report generator), and it updated to the current day every day I opened it. It displayed the values on the graph for each day (again report generator selection). This was a quick, one click way to see what happened to me each day after the market closed.

When I try to do that in MD2015 the memorized graph remains stuck on the date I memorized it and does not advance to the current date when I go back and open the memorized report on the Summary page.

Surely I'm doing something wrong, but I can't seem to figure it out.

    Hi Bob,

Are you setting the Date parameter to 'Year to Date'?

As an alternative, try generating an 'Investment Performance' report with the Date parameter set to 'Last 1 Day'.

Run the report after the market settles to garner the gains/losses of each security for that day. The one caveat of this report is that on the days where dividends or capital gains are paid out, the results will be skewed by those amounts.

Which MD version are you using? There were a lot of issues with memorization of reports and charts in the earlier versions. The latest Preview version, build 1201, seems fairly stable. However if you bought it through the Apple store then it is hard to update.

Yes it was set to ytd, but I just created a fresh new one to make sure. We’ll see if it advances the “to date” date tomorrow.

You can down load the latest build (1201) from here ; http://infinitekind.com/preview

    Kevin's advice is sound.

Good news. The Net Worth Graph I memorized yesterday did load the new stock values and advance to Monday the 27th when I loaded it from the Summary Page. I guess I had something wrong in the setup of the prior report. Sorry for the fire drill.

I prefer a moving 12 month net worth to date graph. Note that the year to date graph in January would not tell us much because of it’s short data time frame. I just memorized that one and we’ll see if it advances tomorrow.

    Thank you

Still looking for a way to memorize a Net Worth graph showing selected investment accounts, daily data points, for a moving 12 month period up to the current day.

I can pick it manually, but when I memorize it freezes on the date when I memorized and when I reload from the summary page it does not advance to the present day.

    Any help?

Bob, It isn't a problem of how to do this. Select last 365 days from the pop up window for the time period. I do this and the plot has worked flawlessly for the past 3 years in MD 2012, 2014 and now 2015. The dates update daily.

The question is that I assume you have done this and it doesn't work for you.

I would start with a new net worth plot, set the time to the past 365 days, select your securities and then memorize it.

You are correct. I missed that option. 365 days works fine
    Thanks
