I have
successfully entered data for a new business account for 2015. I
want to import data from my old mac book pro. I have tried to do so
and always get the following error message:
java.lang.nullPointerException.

any ideas? I've tried to export to a QIF file and save it on a
flash drive. I have also tried to export it to a file in dropbox.
Always get this error message when I try to import it to Money
dance. Thanks! Laura

Laura tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/388326062016-01-05T02:08:24Z2016-01-05T02:08:25Zimporting data from Quicken

Thanks, I think I've followed these instructions but still get

java.lang.NullPointerException

My Quicken program is old: 2007. Does this matter?

Laura tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/388326062016-01-05T03:46:48Z2016-01-05T03:46:48Zimporting data from Quicken

The age of Quicken is not important, the main thing is to be
able to export QIF files from it. In some ways older versions of
Quicken could even be better in this regard.

I'm not a Mac user but your error looks strange to me for what
you are attempting.

The first thing I would do is to have a look at your QIF file to
make sure it is as it should be

QIF are just text files with embedded instructions so are easily
viewed with any text editor, word processor etc

The entries in the QIF file should look something like:

D01/07/1999
T-4.10
process that are prevented by following the instructions on that
page.

Here are a list of possible errors you might have and their
