I did an initial export/import from Quicken. To my surprise all of my hidden/archived accounts were imported. I deleted the Moneydance file, created a copy of my Quicken file, edited it to delete all hidden files and created a new Moneydance file from this edited Quicken export. The default file type was incorrect in a number of cases, which I corrected. I apparently missed at least one correction and an account was set up with the incorrect type. I saw no way to change the account type once the new Moneydance file was created.

I am not support staff, just a user.

Once step up you can’t change an account type.
However, you can move all the transactions in an account to another account.
Set up an account of the correct type ACCOUNT – NEW ACCOUNT.
In the old account highlight all the transaction, on windows this would be with one transaction highlighted click Ctrl plus A. Right click and select BATCH CHANGE – ACCOUNT. Use the dropdown to select the new account and click OK. You can now delete the old empty account – ACCOUNT DELETE ACCOUNT.

    Hope this helps.
