Microsoft updates have caused such havoc that I have now bought a Mac and need to transfer my Moneydance files to it.
What is the recommended route to do this? Should I buy the Mac version of the software or is there another way of doing it?
How much is the Mac Moneydance?

Many thanks

I am not support staff, just a user.

You do not state which version of Moneydance you are running. E.g. 2019.3(1874).
The licence key you purchased is valid for the version you purchased plus the next version, after that you can get a 50% discount.
This key can be used on Windows, Mac or Linux computers, so no need to purchase a new licence.
2019 can be downloaded from https://infinitekind.com/preview
    Older versions from https://infinitekind.com/previous-versions-of-moneydance
Whichever version you decided to use on the Mac first make sure you update your windows computer first.
To copy your data set to a new computer, proceed as follows.
On your existing computer click on HELP – SHOW DOCUMENT FOLDER. This will open a file explorer in the default data set location.
Close Moneydance. Your data set is a folder not a file containing other files and folder. I think it’s called a bundle on a Mac. The naming convention for the data set is yourdatasetname.moneydance. Copy this folder.
Install the same version of Moneydance on your new computer.
Open Moneydance on your new computer. Assuming this is the first time you have opened it; it should open in the welcome window Click “Account a new account set” and set up a dummy account so you can then click HELP – SHOW DOCUMENT FOLDER. This will open a file explorer in the default data set location. Close Moneydance. Paste your data set is to this location.
Open Moneydance then FILE - OPEN (MONEYDANCE – OPEN on Mac), your data set should be listed.
Use the same key to register Moneydance.

    Hope this helps.
