When I import a QIF file MD crashes. I have read previous similar searches which suggest updating to the latest version which I have done but it makes no difference - after a QIF import the program stalls requiring a Task End. It does seem to have imported the file.

As you have posted in the “Switching to Moneydance” section I assume the QIF file is an export from another personal finance software such as Quicken?
Can you confirm. With this information it will be easier to help.

Make sure in Moneydance that your Santander is the selected account before you try to import the QIF file.
Let me know if that works.

    Hope this helps.

Sorry for the delay. It does work - thanks for your help - nice to know
that there are people willing and able to help.
Slowly adapting after using Money for ages. Still miss some of the reports
available in Money such as Net Worth over time and cash flow over time.
Plus Moneydance reports seem so much longer.
    Thanks again
