The experience of many users with transferring just banking data is overwhelmingly positive. The problems seen are generally minimal, the most common is that Quicken often does not include an opening balance, this is easily fixed. This was the only significant problem I had with transferring many years of banking data.

I would suggest you download and install Moneydance, it will be in trial mode, but in this mode is totally functional and allows for unlimited imported data, the limit is on manually entered transactions. Thus you can try it out and post questions in the forum if you face any problems.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481573362020-03-15T04:09:39Z2020-03-15T04:09:39Z20 years of quicken data

I tried the trial. I wasn't able to test the download feature so I paid
the subscription. The automated downloading doesn't work. Money dance
says that my bank will have an email telling me how to verify my identity
but the email never shows up. I will be calling the bank when they open to
see if they can help. Apparently I have 90 days to try and get it to work
and they will give my money back if I can't get it.
thanks for your note,
Hi John

If you haven't already done so, take a read of at least the first three articles at https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/online-banking-and-bill-pay
before calling your bank.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481573362020-03-15T08:21:55Z2020-03-15T08:21:56Z20 years of quicken data

Thanks Derek! Will do!

john tracytag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481573362020-03-15T20:03:51Z2020-03-15T20:03:51Z20 years of quicken data

If you encounter any problems with the setup process, letting us know exactly how far you are getting in instructions would be helpful, as well as the specific text of any error messages you are receiving.

Just for the record in case other people encounter this thread: you do not need to purchase Moneydance to test out things like importing and bank connections. All of these functions are fully active in the trial version.
