How can I delete the manually entered stock split transaction?

From the Moneydance menu bar, go to Tools > Securities.
Double-click the security in question.
At the bottom of the resulting window, you can remove the split.

That worked as far as deleting the stock split and I have now re-input the
correct stock split, and I have the correct balance in number of shares.
However, when I sold the shares the Capital Gains report is using the wrong
cost and a different cost to that shown on the Cost Basis report, which is
correct.
