Hi Bernard

The first thing to say is don’t use QIF transaction files. A better format is QFX or OFX. If you credit card company provide one of them try it.

Otherwise I think the first thing I would do is open the QIF file in a text editor to check if your credit card company has structured the file correctly.

An example would look like this.

!Type:CCard D03/07/2020
T10.80
P Payment By Direct Debit
M1234/ Payment By Direct Debit
M n/a
^ D02/07/2020
T-6.48
P Milk&More, 789
M1234/ Milk&More, 789
M Visa
^

The value after T is positive for a Payment e.g. T10.80 and negative for a Charge e.g. T-6.48
The above QIF was imported into a test data set in Moneydance 2020(1915), see screen shot.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23
