However, I'm using Money on Windows running on a virtual machine on a Mac. The niggles of using Money in this way just got too great & I decided to bite the bullet and return to MD. Thanks to Kevin N, derekkent 23 & others for their patience in helping me in the past.

I've now transferred all my data to MD. I had to plug a lot of dummy numbers to get it to work - every time I thought I'd got an a/c balanced, I'd balance the next one only to find the first one thrown out of balance, presumably due to MD's double entry framework and the need to balance transfers. Hopefully now all sorted, time will tell - I'll check between Money & MD at the end of the month when I update stock prices.

Anyway, I'm currently entering my list of recurring transactions. All is fine except when I enter the amount (in GBP) under Payment, there's another box which seems to be that for Rate, and there's a number which looks to the GBP/EUR exchange rate, and it automatically enters an amount in the Foreign Amnt box. What is this and how do I get rid of it?
