base accounts

just got today with in the last hr. Spent most of my time now trying to rename "base" Account. I managed to delete the checking and savings account that were attacked ( pointless since they were zero) I wanted to just delete the base account . At this point I'd settle for just renaming .

    menu Tools>Accounts. Select Account>Edit>change name

    I'm a fellow user.

    Every data set (what many people would think of as a Moneydance file) has one base account. The base account is nothing more than the starting point of the structure and is the actual name of the data set. You can not delete it, you can change the name by renaming the data set outside of Moneydance.
