Moneydance on a MAC

I have used Moneydance for years -- must have been an unsupported free version -- on my PC.
Now, we're going to be away from home for several months, so I'd like to take the "books" with me.
Can I install the software on my wife's MAC; then transfer the transactions from the PC? And, when we return, can I transfer the data back?
and .. is there a way to SHARE the data between machines on our home network?

Yes you can copy/move the dataset between Windows and Mac. On Windows you need the entire .moneydance folder and Max the <somethingname>.moneydance file (package). NOTE: Don't do this if you are already syncing the data between the machines - i.e. turn the sync off first if you are going to move the dataset!

I suggest you set up data synchronization via dropbox. Then you don't have to transfer anything.
