<p>To clarify, are you following the detailed instructions for

What you describe could be a result of not importing only your
accounts before any transactions, as the instructions describe. I
recommend creating a new data file (File -> New from the
Moneydance menu bar) and trying again following those instructions.
If you run into problems, please let us know exactly which step you
are at when things seem to be going wrong.</p>
