Quicken to Moneydance
Hi,
I'm a long time Quicken user and was wondering if I do switch to Moneydance, could I do the following:
- Import my data from Quicken to Moneydance
- have and same functionality in Moneydance as in Quicken - track accounts, assets, mortgage loans
- have reminders
Thanks
Ken

just a user
1) If you export a QIF file of everything from Quicken - it can be imported to Moneydance. Don't expect perfection, as QIF was never intended as a conversion format, but it is all anyone has, as Quicken files are proprietary.
2) same functionality? probably, depending on your requirements, reports may be different, but overall - it's pretty close.
3) Reminders will not transfer over (QIF does not support reminders) but you can create them anew.
Overall? Try it out - FREE to do so. Download the program, import a QIF, and see if it works for you. Fully functional - the only limitation is 100 MANUAL transactions to put in. That does not include imports like the QIF, or bank imports via OFX direct connect or Moneydance+.
Give it a shot.
