Hiding Categories

I am thinking about changing to Moneydance, but am struggling with how to hide certain categories from reports. For instance, I might have Transfer as a category, but don't want it to show up on my reports. I cannot find a way to do those transactions? Am I missing something? I did a search on the forums and came across a post suggesting that it is a requested but not implemented feature. The post was from a couple of years ago. Has this not been implemented? If not, or if there is no workaround, this is pretty much of a deal breaker for me. As a result, I am anxious for any help you can provide. BTW, I am running Moneydance on Linux Mint, if that helps.

    I'm a fellow customer.

I cannot think of a way of globally excluding selected categories from reports.

In terms of reports like the Income and Expense reports you can exclude selected categories or only include selected categories in a report.

Thanks for the response. Your comment led me back to look at how to customize which categories show up in a report. So, that helped. After searching around a bit, I figured out how to do it. But unless I am overlooking something obvious, doing that kind of report customization sure isn't obvious or, at least to me, logical. At least, however, it is possible.

The instructions on how to work with reports could do with some expansion.
