Hello,
I currently have MS Money 2006. I can create files with my data from MS Money for importing to other software. Is there an option to import them to the paid version of Moneydance?

Thank you!
Janice

    Hi Janice,

Take a look at the following Moneydance KB article for instructions for importing your Microsoft Money data into Moneydance.

Thanks for this. It appears to be many more steps than I want to deal with. I found AceMoney and it was really easy to import my MS Money file into it. It was almost seamless and loaded all my accounts in one fell swoop! The only problem with that software was they didn’t have an Income vs Expense report which surprised me. I am a retired Accounting Admin and that may not be important to most folks tracking their Bank Accts and Credit Cards etc…but for me, it is absolutely a deal breaker not to have it. MS Money 2006 still works fine in Windows 11, I just can’t increase the font size for data entry and even though the font hasn’t changed, my eyes have. So, I guess, as long as it works, I will find a way to view the screens.

    I'm a fellow user.

I evaluated AceMoney some years go, I do not think it has really changed. Reporting is limited and I found I do not like the interface at all.

Of course you may find it suits you.

I would suggest you have a look at the various products on the Market, even do some testing. Choose what you like then move to it no matter how much work is involved. It is easier to do it once rather than to use a program find it doesn't really work then move to another program etc.

You may also find that exporting Investment information from AceMoney does not really work.
