EWC+ Protocol
Hello,
I am so absolutely tired of paying Quicken for the absoulte worst piece of software available today. The only reason they are so popular is because of momentum and people that are locked in to years of history.
I only use 1/10th of the functionality, and they can't even manage to make that work. I checked the list of financial institutions, and I did not see either of my banks. Is that list currently up to date? If so, is there any plans to support the EWC+ protocol used by Discover Bank?
Help me Moneydance - you're our only hope!

I'm a fellow user.
EWC+ is a proprietary protocol owned by Intuit, they do not provide access to programs like Moneydance, they only provide for Quicken and Mint.
Discover dropped support for the open Direct Connect protocol around 2020 which is what programs like Moneydance use for direct automatic downloads and in 2022 dropped support for manual OFX/QFX downloads.
For manual downloads CSV is the only choice today. For automatic downloads there is the optional paid for Moneydance+ service, but I do not have access to this to determine if Discover is supported.

MD+ (Plaid) supports discover bank.
what is your other bank?
You can download MD for free, only limit is 100 manual entries. You can also start MD+ as a trial, I think it is for 14 days.
Try it out, but if not your style cancel the MD+ subscription within the timeframe.

Oh, and given "years of history" - export everything as a QIF file and import it and see how it looks - this does not impact the 100 entry limit.

Texans Credit Union. I also use Chase bank and Citicards, but I suspect
those are also supported. I'm such a basic user. All I need it balance
and transaction info.
Thanks for the research. I'll look into MD trial and see if it works.

Texans Credit Union appears to be supported by MD+/Plaid - note this is an optional add on, but you can try it out yourself, of course.
Chase and Citi are definitely supported by MD+/Plaid (I have both banks myself)
Balance info would be provided by you - as you only get "so much history" from any of these banks. MD has an "initial balance" field for a adjustment balance before the first downloaded transaction - a one time adjustment.
Good luck!
