1) Hi, I'm trying out Moneydance and imported my Quicken data successfully. However, there are "extra" accounts now with an "x" at the end. I need to move those transactions to the primary account. Couldn't figure out how to do that.

2) Also, When entering a transaction, the "Category" field is not wide enough to show the entire number. I'm left guessing which category it is. Is there a way to expand that field?

  1. Transfers between Accounts

Often, you'll need to transfer funds between your accounts.

You may be transferring funds from a checking account to a savings account.
Or you may be making a payment from a checking account to a credit card.

To do this, you should enter the transaction details as normal.
Then enter the “other” account in the Category field of the transaction.

When you select the Category field of a transactio...

    I'm a fellow user.

This is my take on your questions

    1. Select one or more transactions, the method to select multiple transactions is the standard way it is done on you operating system. Right click and select "Batch Change" then select Account you can then select the account to move the transactions to.

    2. Go to the header line in the register, you should be able to left click on the dividing line between the titles and hold the mouse button down then drag to make that column wider.

Thank you for the response. I figured out one (1) issue after I emailed you.
The other issue (2) resolved itself after I close and re-opened the program.

I tried right clicking on transactions and nothing would come up.

If i have a transactions register open and right click on any transaction I get a drop down menu with various options on it.

Is this the process you are following.

Yes, but I closed and re-opened Moneydance and the right-click option
worked. I wish I'd seen that before I deleted 100 transactions that have to
be re-entered now. Such is life.

    Thanks Ghostrider,
I was on a long out of state trip. Back now entering transactions. Went ahead and purchased the program.
Now I get to enter a lot of transactions. Gonna see if it will link to my banks.
    Best Wishes.
