Like most financial programs the Quicken data files (.QDF) are proprietary so other programs cannot read them.
When migrating between financial programs it is necessary to use you current program, Quicken in this case, to export the data in a more universal format. With financial software this will generally be QIF files, even though they are far from perfect, because it is the best that is available. It is also preferable to export the data in one QIF file rather than individual ones.
The result should be file(s) that contain the raw transaction information that you can import into another program.
