Can Moneydance produce Year-to-date vs. Last-year-to-date reports? When I tried it years ago in an attempt to switch from Quicken it could not do such reports, and that was a deal breaker. If Moneydance now can do such reports, how easy is it to set them up?

    just a user,

You can produce a report that lists previous years activity to current.
Just run the Income and Expense report. Reset the report, change the start date year to the previous year and set the grouping to "Group by" to Year.

You will see a side by side listing of expenses and income of the previous year to the current year. The years will be totaled in the right column, but if you want to see the difference between years, just copy the report and paste it into a spreadsheet. Change the Right Total column to reflect a simple formula to subtract the previous year amount from the current year amount and you will get the increase or decrease shown in the Total column. Just copy that formula to the other lines and you have your report with the difference column. Or if that is not important the MD Income and Expense Report will show the yearly amounts side by side without using a spreadsheet.
