Quicken import
Hello-
I just bought Moneydance and went to import from Quicken Classic but I can't create a QIF, only a QXF. I looked to see how to get a QXF converted to a QIF and only found another software for more money that can convert for me.
Please help me make a seamless transition from Quicken. I am on a Mac by the way.

QXF files are Quicken proprietary to move between different Quicken products. I do not see Moneydance trying to work out their internal structure.
Moneydance as you are aware can import QIF files, it can also import QMTF files, and import well structured CSV files into non-investment accounts.
Quicken having restricted export formats is not unusual, they are not going to make it easy to migrate to another vendor's product.

There are secret codes to get Quicken to expose QIF exports in some situations.
I don't know what they are, but someone might mention them.

Ahh yes the Quicken secret key sequence to expose the Export QIF option, I had forgotten about that.
The key sequence is <Ctrl> <Shift> Z. This is however not a permanent change it must be done every time you restart Quicken.
A restriction still exists that you can only export to QIF one account at a time. It is not possible to select all accounts and then export all to a single QIF file.
This may or may not work in your version of Quicken.
