On account downloads
I downloaded all my bank accounts using the "all available" selection. I'm trying to get it so that I balance correctly with today.
I see memos that seem to come from nowhere, like this:
Fitbit LLC g.co/helppay#NS Fitbit LLC G.co Helppay#ns CAD digital online Shops:Digital Purchase Google Wallet
At a guess, everything after the "CAD" looks like some form of categorization. I have never seen this before on other programs. Whwere does this information: "CAD digital online Shops:Digital Purchase Google Wallet" ... is that actually part of the bank's info?
What about BELL MAISON INTELLIGENTE/VERDUN QC Bell Maison Intelligente CAD place in store Food and Drink:Restaurants Verdun - where does this Food and Drink... stuff come from?
I'm not averse to it, because it might make it easier for me to start cetagorizing quicker. But I would really like to know where it's from.

When Moneydance + gets info from Plaid, it needs to create a transaction from the information. (You can see a table of the raw data by right clicking on the transaction, scrolling down and selecting "Show Transaction Details")
The memo is created from certain parts of that data. Some people like the memo display, some don't. The Toolbox extension has a separate piece called basically "Zap MD+ memos" which can remove what you are refering to, it also has a way to zap duplicate descriptions and memos.
