Quicken has lost its luster
I have used Quicken since the early days when it ran alongside QuickBooks. Both were owned and served by Intuit well before Windows showed up. I continued to respect and rely on Quicken for decades, that is until it was sold and resold. Then, it slowed down and crashed even more often. It finally quit being functional*. I am stranded. My financial life is wrapped up in Quicken, and now it feels like a recycling bin before shredding.
Quicken is being milked by its latest owners, a private equity group that is here to get theirs and throw the customers out the back door. Well, that's how it feels.
*FWIW: I have run virus checks and reset and reinstalled Quicken numerous times. My equipment and all other software are up to date.

Do you have a question about switching to Moneydance?
This forum has nothing to do with the use of Quicken software.

You can download Moneydance for free in a demo version with 100 manual entries. Imports (from Quicken) or downloads from a bank do not count toward those 100 entries.
(Just download it and use it).
This might help you decide if you think Moneydance might be a replacement.

I too, had used Quicken since the early 90's. Got tired of the subscription based format, and the constant issues with downloading transactions from my bank that went unresolved for months at a time.
I finally switched to Moneydance about a year ago and never looked back.
If you are worried about losing years of transactions, don't. Mine all imported flawlessly into moneydance. Just my .02!
