the hard drive on my desktop is apparantly fried ... i can't access the quicken qif file ... i only have acces to my quicken backups ... a qdf file .... nothing happens

    Hello,

    Unfortunately there is no way for Moneydance to read a QDF file directly, as this is a proprietary file format of Quicken. Your data must be exported into a QIF format for Moneydance to be able to read it (http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-from-quicken-or-ms-money/...). If you could install Quicken on your other computer, you should be able to open and export your data.
