Unusable
Unless I am missing something, I switched from Quicken because you were supposedly better. I hate your app; it makes finances harder to manage.

just a user,
I've been a Moneydance user for years. Used quicken in prior years. Yeah, it's not a polished online app like Quicken is now. But it is not a Quicken clone and it takes some time to adjust to the differences. But the cost is fair, no monthly subscription, no data stored on remote Quicken servers. No need to upgrade to new versions, older versions work fine, just fewer features. But it's not a Quicken look alike, so I'm curious, what is it about Moneydance that you really hate? There are a few features I wish they would improve like budgeting, but that's minor to me because the ForeCast tool works so nicely except for the delay in charting. I can follow my expenses, predict my future balances, run needed reports, and set reminders to handle any future financial activities. It just works for me as much as Quicken did in the past, so i'm just curious where it misses the boat for you.

I do agree with everything you said mhoggie. There is a bit of a learning curve with MD, but nothing extraordinary. I switched from Quicken in 2018 since Intuit went down a path I did not want to follow. I had some minor bumps in the road when I made the switch but was easily solved. One thing that I find so helpful is the array of users that are willing to take the time to assist new users. After I made the switch from Q, I never looked back and very happy with MD, it just takes a little time to adjust.
